Job Title: Senior Backend Java Engineer (85854)
Job Description: Responsible for designing, developing and implementing high performance, scalable distributed application services using Java and Spring framework. Design and write software that is fault tolerant and understand the Kafka stream-processing system. Design and develop REST Application Programming Interface’s using microservices architecture and use third party Application Programming Interfaces (API) to extend and enhance product functionality. Write SQL to interact with the database in addition to writing technical documents, discussing requirements with the product team and provide estimates for project plans. Participate with the Scrum Team to build and improve product functionality and understand Agile development methodology. Build software components using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and by utilizing knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. Utilize knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns and apply the knowledge effectively for day-to-day development tasks. Formulate optimal designs to meet requirements that align with Enterprise Architecture.
Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
- Designing and implementing Microservices using Java, Spring Boot.
- Using message queue systems such as Kafka / RabbitMq.
- Using Relational Databases such as MySQL.
- Using CI/CD to deploy Microservices using Git, Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes.
- Contributing to the backend functionalities to design and develop robust and scalable REST APIs.
