Job Title: Data Engineer (83773)
Job Description: Responsible for developing new pipelines in Google Cloud Platform using Python, BigQuery and deploying services in production using GIT. Analyzing data values and data patterns to identify relationships that link data elements into logical units of information (such as customer/patient/claim) and identifying transformation rules that have been applied to source systems to populate targets such as operational data stores. Working with application development staff to develop database architectures and coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Participate in testing and implementing database design and functionality and tuning for performance. Ingest data from flat files and use Kafka to send data from MySQL and BigQuery to frontend and backend application services. Load data to target datasets using lookups in Data Lake. Migrate data from MySQL and PostgreSQL to BigQuery. Make data available to implementation, analytics and support teams for various use cases. Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to follow guidelines and ensure compliance in building new pipelines in Google Cloud Platform. Provide ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement for all data pipelines using code version control. Assist customer implementation and production support teams.
Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
- Working with internal and external clients on software development, implementation, enhancement, integration and customer support projects.
- Ingesting files into the database, monitoring daily batch processes for file ingestion, load balancing, end-to-end data flow and report generation.
- Troubleshooting application software/data issues in day-to-day operations, debugging, providing root-cause analysis and developing solutions for code defects.
- Monitor application performance and provide enhancements by working with cross-functional team members in network/security, quality assurance, DBA and other team members.
- Participating in the incident and release management process, providing on-call support for the production environment.
- V.B.NET, VB6, Team Foundation Server, C#, Java, SQL, Windows, Unix, Linux, MS-SQL database.

Education: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupation
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 per year
