Job Description Summary

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for managing patient care and treatment (in person, telephonically and/or video).

How you will make an impact:

  • Provides a range of primary, acute and/or specialty healthcare services for patients in clinics, virtually or in home settings. 

  • In states that do not require collaborative agreements, functions as the primary care provider. 

  • Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

  • Provides health instruction and counseling, educating patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.

  • May work in collaboration with other Physicians, Nurses or other healthcare professionals to treat the needs of the patient(s) as part of an interdisciplinary care team. 

  • Formulates and documents care plan. Prescribes medication or other forms of treatment.

  • Participates in On-Call program, which may include after-hours, weekend and holiday calls and visitations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an MS in Nursing and minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Requires a current, active, valid and unrestricted RN license and NP license in Nevada.  

  • For Carelon Health, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $ 110,880 to $166,320.
